Because I need to update sometime, this is going to be another fish-related bit. Except I have no fish to relate anything about, so I'll just mention that I've put some pictures of the just-about-freaking-cycled tank up on fork.

fishy just called me the biggest fish geek he has ever known.
I'm taking it as a compliment.
You see, I received an absolutely gorgeous 29 gallon (110 litre) tank for Christmas from him. I've got it all decorated (except for plants and fish) and I'm cycling the tank right now before adding fish. But I just tested the pH of our water and discovered that it is well, well above the accepted healthy range for fish.
So I asked the internet for help and I'm drinking an excellent gin and tonic while waiting for answers.
Whoops, time to go check ammonia levels!
